Student Drop Off
If students are not eating breakfast or attending walking club, they should not be dropped off at school until 8:10 a.m., students dropped off prior to 8:10 a.m. will not be supervised unless they attend breakfast and/or walking club. †If students want to attend walking club it begins at 7:50 a.m. Students will not allowed in the building until 8:10 a.m. Please plan your family schedule around these times.† If your child is dropped off too early, you may receive a note or a phone call from a staff member to remind you of the appropriate arrival time.†
Cold Weather Recess
As the weather begins to get cooler, please dress your child appropriately for the weather.† Please make sure your child is dressed appropriately for outside activities when the weather becomes cold. †It is at the discretion of the principal or adult supervisor, whether the clothing a child is wearing is appropriate for the weather conditions.† Students will not be sent outside if it is raining or the temperature and/or wind chill is below 10 degrees.† When the temperature and/or wind chill is above 10 degrees recess will be outside. When the conditions are wet or snowy and recess is still held outside, studentís must wear boots and snow pants if they expect to play off the paved playground. Occasionally the presence of ice on all hard outdoor surfaces necessitates that students stay inside.
